Introducing My AI Travel Planner: Smarter Trips, Less Hassle
Planning a trip should be exciting, not overwhelming. That’s the thinking behind my latest AI-powered side project — a Travel Planner that uses artificial intelligence to help you craft personalized itineraries in seconds.

As someone who loves both travel and building useful tools, this project was a perfect mix of passion and tech. Whether you're heading on a weekend getaway or planning a month-long adventure, this AI tool makes the process faster, smarter, and surprisingly fun.
🤖 What It Does
The AI Travel Planner takes just a few inputs — your destination, length of stay, budget, and interests — and then generates a full itinerary. Not just a list of places, but a day-by-day plan that includes top sights, food suggestions, transportation tips, and hidden gems.
It’s like having a local travel expert in your pocket — minus the back-and-forth emails.
🛠️ How I Built It
The engine behind the planner uses a mix of OpenAI’s language models and real-time travel APIs to fetch updated info on locations, weather, and transportation. I designed the UI to be minimal and intuitive — no account creation needed, just enter your details and get your plan.
From sketching out the idea to shipping a working version, the whole build took about three weeks, and I learned a lot about blending AI with UX for casual users.
🌍 Why I Built It
After years of coding for corporate environments, I’ve been leaning more into building digital tools that solve real problems for everyday people. The AI Travel Planner came from my own frustrations when planning trips — hopping between tabs, reading endless blogs, and feeling unsure about what to prioritize.
This tool flips that. It brings clarity, inspiration, and confidence to travelers, especially those who want to make the most of their time without overplanning.
🚀 Try It Out
If you’re curious, you can try the AI Travel Planner here. It’s free, fast, and open for feedback.
I’m planning to add more features soon — like saving your plan as a PDF, or suggesting nearby experiences based on your current location.
Let me know what you think — and if you’re building something in this space, I’d love to connect!
